This Privacy Policy describes how The Twisted Fork, LLC, doing business as The Twisted Fork Culinary Classroom (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you visit twistedforkpcb.com (the “Site”), register for or purchase a class, submit a class waiver, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Site, making a purchase, or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information received from third parties.

Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Order and billing information: name, email address, billing address, phone number, and the classes or gift cards you purchase.
  • Payment information: payment card details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment data is collected and processed directly by our payment processor (see Section 5). If you choose to save your payment information for future purchases, it is stored in tokenized form by our payment processor, not by us.
  • Class waiver information: to attend a class, we require a completed Adult Cooking Class Hold Harmless Agreement, Waiver, and Release (or the applicable minor waiver). This form collects the participant’s name, email address, mailing address, the class name and date, the date completed, whether the participant is under 18, and the participant’s electronic signature.
  • Emergency contact information: as part of the waiver, we collect the name, phone number, and relationship of an emergency contact. This is personal information about a third party. If you provide someone else’s details, you confirm you are authorized to do so, and we will use that information only to contact them in the event of an emergency.
  • Medical-treatment authorization: the waiver includes your authorization for us to seek medical treatment on your behalf in the event of an injury or emergency during a class. We do not collect detailed health records through the waiver form.
  • Communications: any information you provide when you contact us by phone, email, or our contact form.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and time spent on pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used to operate the Site, remember your cart and preferences, and measure traffic. See Section 4.
  • Server logs: standard web server logs generated by our hosting environment.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive transaction confirmations, fraud-prevention signals, and limited billing details from our payment processor to complete and verify your orders.

The Site and its marketing are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own marketing purposes.

We do, however, offer classes and camps in which minors may participate. Where a participant is under 18, the class waiver and any related personal information (including the minor’s name and emergency contact details) must be completed and submitted by a parent or legal guardian, who consents to our collection and use of that information for the purpose of registering and supervising the minor’s participation. A parent or guardian may review, update, or request deletion of their child’s information, subject to the retention obligations described in Section 6, by contacting us using the details below.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Access or update your account and order information by logging into your account or contacting us.
  • Request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions (note that we may be required to retain signed waivers and transaction records).
